Therapeutic Yoga is a specialized form of yoga that focuses on slow, mindful movements and extra modifications to help promote healing, recovery and overall well-being. Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, injury, stress or fatigue, Therapeutic Yoga offers a gentle and effective path to feeling better.
With simple yet effective movements, Therapeutic Yoga helps you build strength, increase joint mobility, ease tension in stiff muscles and improve your balance. Beyond physical recovery, Therapeutic Yoga also helps to reduce stress, soothe the nervous system and enhance mental focus. It creates a nurturing environment where you can regain mobility, manage pain, and find inner calm.

What’s in a class?
Therapeutic Yoga classes at the YLC always start with a breath meditation and a gentle warm-up followed by slow-paced, mindful movements designed to stretch and strengthen all of your muscles. This style of yoga is designed to help you get stronger and more flexible at your own pace. Detailed instructions and modifications are always offered so you can dial it up or dial it down to suit YOU.
This gentle approach incorporates restorative poses and uses the support of props like blocks, a chair and a strap. These props allow you to safely and comfortably access each pose and explore the many ways you can adapt the yoga practice to suit YOU.
Recorded Classes
Can’t make it to the live classes? No problem! The class recordings are uploaded to the YLC video library every week so you can do the classes in your own time, and an email reminder is sent out to members.
